My Knee!

My Knee!
Ok, dont flame me for where it happened, but yea i got my knee down for the first time, and yea it was on a public street. I know! im not supposed to be doing that due to **** everywhere on the roads, but it was a surprise to me and i didnt expect to do it. I was coming around a corner ive taken many times, on a road im on every time i ride, and got confident enough to power through harder than ive been doing, and sure enough, "scrape"! It scared the **** out of me cause ive never done it before. I thought my rear was sliding or something...so i went one more time cause i was happy as hell and did the same thing. Also figured im going pretty fast and have my bike leaned over pretty far and i also figured im on the road, not the track, and it is unsafe in more ways than one, so prolly not gonna do it again until a trackday, but just thought id let yall know! And yea i was wearing full racing leathers.... peace, im goin to bed

RE: My Knee!
Congrats man. As long as you felt you were in control of the situation and aware of your surroundings at the time, then do it. It is not irresponsible riding, as much as it is responsible learning.
By the way, and more importantly, did you have knee pucs on? This will help you guage corner apex speed too!

You know you had a chubby...at least a semi-wood! You already know to be careful, no flaming required. When is your track day?

Have any of you guys ever gotten a chubby while riding...probably while thinking of something you shouldn't be while riding...and then had to hit the brakes real quick because the car in front of you was stopping and you were still locked in a boobie filled daydream? Daaaaaamn that hurts![sm=headbang.gif]
