Default My favourite road

Came across these on Youtube, Its the Old Pacific highway, This was the road that formed part of my daily commute for about 5 years, until they built the Freeway (its how the road got the "Old" title) Its only a small portion of it, there is about another 30 klms, that sweeps down over a river & up into sandstone cut outs, with similiar twisties, I used to ride it rain, hail or shine. It's a popular bike road of course, & because of that, its also popular with the cops. They reduced the speed limit to a blanket 60 kph & called it the tourist route as its very scenic in places.
The details of the clips are a bit crapy, but it gives you a bit of an idea, it was only a 10 minute ride from home, & now its an 1 hour & 1/2 to reach, SIGH!!!.............Speed signs are in Kilometers per hour.

Wow...yeah! They must really pay attention in Australia...

Pretty much anything that has 'Pacific' and 'Highway' in the name is gonna be good--I think it's a law...

It's not even near the Pacific or Im I wrong?(googled your area)Our "PCH"pacific coast highway is right next to the ocean. I was hoping to catch some shoreline views of Australia on a bike.

That's one of the many names

hwy 1
Hwy 101
PCH
Pacific coast highway
El Camino real
Cabrillo hwy

But ya that one that streches from the Canadian border to the Mexican border. I have rode it from LA all the way up to Fort Bragg Northern Cal. Long ride but worth it. Still want to finish it up to Seattle some day.

Nice. Been on the stretch from N. of the Bay Area to the CA/OR border in my car. Going to be coming down it this summer in mid July.
