" In the world of motorcycles, dirt bikes, and quads, we girls have FINALLY made our place. Now when you open the catalogs you don’t just see ladies posing all over the latest gear and custom parts….you also see ladies gear.
Leather jackets, helmets, gloves and even race leathers catered to fit us, our curves, and with added touches of feminine flair such as hibiscus flowers on the Joe Rocket lines, and stars that Icon is quickly becoming so noted for. All over the world women are shouting thanks for what all of the lady riders have known for years…we live to ride too!
There are so many reasons why women are finally stepping off the back of the guy’s bike and getting on their own. One of them is knowing that you can get on something so powerful, and have fun with it and maintain control. It makes girls realize that there are some things that the guys just can’t have all to themselves.
In one forum it was posted, “Some things are just a dude’s thingâ€. What does that mean? Could it possibly mean that you might just be scared that a girl is going to out ride you? There must be a lot of people out there accepting the girls into the riding world, or you wouldn’t see so many products catering to women.
The girls at www.chicriders.com have been like a family to me in the past year, I have met the coolest and most down to earth girls from all over the world. (I would just like to thank RoadRashChic (Jessica Maine) for this forum. She has brought the chicks a huge distance in this male dominating hobby, opening new doors that once were never thought a possibility. I think I speak for all of the girls out there, when I say “Thank You!â€)
I asked the girls for their input on the ChicRiders Forum. They happily posted their comments on varied reasons of why they ride. Here’s what they had to say about riding and motorcycles. You can really tell the passion they have for 2 wheels!!!
“When I first got into motorcycles I used to just like to see them rip it by me and I'd get all excited...but then again all I knew is that they went vroom vroom. Then I started learning the different makes and models of the bikes, and having preferences, that’s when I knew it would be something more. Next thing I know... I wake up on summer morning to the sound of my neighbors R1 ripppping it down my street, from that exact moment on, motorcycles had taken over my life.
It happened in a good way, of course. Ever since that day all I do is eat sleep breathe bikes...and I wouldn’t change it for the worldâ€
But it's more than just fast rides and pretty colors for me, I love mechanics and always have, and Ill be in school for motorcycle mechanics next September. I should mention I am pretty stubborn and won't settle for anything less of what I want, but once and a while that comes as a good thing because you always end up happy in the end

"It's definitely a passion-driven sport and one that builds character, confidence and the desire to do something more.
The only time I truly feel at home is when I'm on my motorcycle and it's the only place where nothing else exists; the only place where all the needless and stressful chatter diminishes and it's just me, my bike and the road that lay before me. There is no better form of therapy in the world for me than that.
I've also met some of the most interesting and best friends riding motorcycles. Though there is the downside of occasionally losing one of those friends, we all know that we're doing what we love to do and that's living life to
