Saw this in the office parking lot today. I'm not 100% sure what it's for, but I am positive I really need one.

My best guess is tall weed clipper/soil aerator. Mean looking piece of machinery.

Yea my guess too. Also, we have some mighty steep embankments on the property. Those don't get mowed all the time. Since the front end attachment is a scythe type cutter, I'm guessing those giant, spikey things are for traction while on the hillside.

I thought those were used for putting soil/manure/fertilizer down, like on a football field, when you see all of those 1 inch deep holes all over

i was later told that the machine was designed by a company who does a lot of work in the Swiss Alps.
