Well I'm not licensed[sm=bustedsign.gif], so.. The MSF course dates for my area came out friday. I already sent out my stuff to register, signed up for the first class and subsequent classes as my 2nd, 3rd, ect. choices... Cant wait to get my endorsement and be legal! Then I wont have to be as afraid of the police taking my baby away when I want to ride =).

i know how you feel. i dont have my "L" either ! but the MSF class here for me (since im over 21) is $235, and its 3 days so its kinda hard to work and my work schedule but im trying. i deffinetly would like to be legal when riding. i ride on the freeways and @ night even though im not supposed to, but what can you do when its your only way around.

why don't ya'll just go to the DMV and take the written and riding tests??????????
the MSF course is still a great idea but if you already know how to ride well enough to be out riding around then you should be able to pass the test pretty easily, just to be legal and all, right???

Nope, its Illinois state sponsored program, thats why its "free". I dont know if I'd pass the test cuz really i've only had 3 days on my bike and everyone says the test is really hard but the MSF course is cake. The bike has alot more power and weight than a small scooter and manuvering tight/slow corners is a little tuff. I'm going to take it up to a parking lot when it gets nice again and do some circles and figure 8's to get better turning control.

here in cali for the dmv issues riding test its alot harder to pass with a sportsbike (even the instructors who give the test said you should try and get a small bike) you have to go through a straight line (while staying inside the lines) then manuever through a set of cones, do a go around ciricle 2 times without going outside the lines , then back down the staright line and i also think you have to back up in there somewhere.
