Movie: "Taking Chance"
Anyone from any country with the slightest hint of patriotism should see this movie. Extremely powerful. It is hard to watch. Extraordinarily well done. Beautifully filmed.
You will learn many things you probably never knew, and be glad you saw it.

Really great movie.
I was particularly impressed with the respect shown to the deceased at every stage of the journey, and the care taken to make everyone look their best, even if they won't be seen.
That's dedication.

I too was moved to tears, Joe. It must be particularly painful being in a conflict as you are.
I guess you have to have lost friends in a war for it to have real meaning.

Rob, it's a movie about a Marine who died in Iraq, and his journey home to his final resting place. Kevin Bacon playes the main character, and does a superb job. A fine tribute to Chance Phelps (?) True story,
Yes, and it's about the incredible respect shown in every single step in the process, and particularly by every individual along the way, and how it touches everyone who plays any role in the journey, and the many bystanders who recognize what is happening. There is also a subplot about how the escorts are motivated, and what they go through, and then how they are received by the family and friends, as well as survivors guilt. There isn't one wasted frame.
