Default Motorcycle withdrawls...

Man...I've never been a drug addict but if i had to guess I'd say these are worse. I'm really growing to hate winter.

Same here bro!

I just keep thinking, when is this weather going to break. I keep checking weather websites to see when the average temperatures go up to like 50F and keep hoping for an early start. It just seems like it is taking too long. Warm weather is just too far away! Especially, since I am a new owner/rider and have an abundance of excitement.

Then, to top it off, I just brought some new gear, stands, oil/filter and just can't wait to spend some quality time with my bike.

Ah, well, just have to wait.

Cheers!

Philadelphia, PA.

We usually get some good - to relatively warm weather here at the end of February. Usually it will go up to about 50F-55F, but sometimes the weather won't break until mid-March, which I hope doesn't happen this year.

I usually will ride when the high outside will reach at least 50F and when it is sunny out. If it is not sunny out and the high only goes to 50F, I won't ride.

I too got my bike about 3 months before the snow fell (in October), but up here It gets cold around late November. Last year (2008) it was nice and warm throughout mid November.

I just bought a bike on Thursday while we were still in a level 2 snow emergency. Bike arrives Monday then I have to stare at it until the weather improves. 35-40 F is about my cutoff. They put sand on the Indiana roads instead of salt so that is an added hazard even after it warms up. I may lose the little sanity that I have before winter is over.

I am more than ready for winter to be over. Maybe I should buy a sled or a quad to ride in the winter.
