Default Motorcycle insurance

I'm a newbie in the process of getting my '05 f4i insured, but unfamiliar of where to begin. With all the options that the companies offer, the task is daunting. Full coverage annually for a 21 year old male can range from $700-upwards of $1000+! To me, that is a little excessive. What are your experiences on this matter? How much coverage is adequate? Is minimal liability a mistake? Is medical payments a scam? I'd appreciate your two cents...

Thanks in advance.

Try calling the company because the quotes are smaller. Progressive wanted 740 a month for full coverage. When i called it lowered to 400. I have allstate now and pay 220 for full coverage. Insurance rates vary by area, age, driving record, vehicle, and the cost of the vehicle. So its really about shopping around and getting the coverage you want to keep you safe money wise if something happens. Hope this helps.

MODS can we make this a sticky so we dont have to keep answering insurance threads?

Full coverage for my 06 F4i is 163 a month. I'm 20 and that was the cheapest quote I got so I went with it. I have progressive. Guiko wanted almost 400 bucks a month so I respectfully told them to kiss may a$$. Lol. It does vary from state to state as all that fun stuff. Just shop around and you'll find a good deal.

The actual amount people pay per month/year will vary from $1 to $1000000. If 100 people post on here you will get 100 different amounts. There are so many variables as CBR said.

Now as far as how much coverage, I really think it comes down to how much you can afford. I carry full coverage because it is cheap for me ($220/year) and I like the piece of mind.

As far as medical, if you have a good health insurance plan it isn't vital to get, but even the best health insurance does not cover you 100% in an accident, so beware and read up on your health insurance plan. But no, medical coverage is not a scam.

Thats not that bad. haha I pay 220 a month and im a 21 year old married military male. Thats with my military discount and MSF discount. I have 1 ticket on my record. I live in Louisiana which has some of the highest premiums because most people here dont have insurance so the ones that do have it are forced to pay more for their rates.

No I only have one ticket and that was after I got the bike insured. Before that I got pulled over once but that was like 4 years ago and didn't get a ticket.

I pay that for a year for liability on mine. Full coverage for would prolly would only be $100 or so more a year. A month I would tell wtf to stick it lol
