"The Claw" has been arrested!

If you have no clue what I'm talking about, read up

(long story short, a skyline gtr gets stolen, guy posts on forum about it, members find the car, etc... it's amusing, but not nsx_nick amusing)
That awesome!!!! There are a bunch of funny pics too.

quote:
The guys story was that he had his friend driving his old GT-R last year and his friend flipped the car and wrote it off. "Terrance" was in the passenger seat and had his hand out the window - when the car rolled it took off his two middle fingers.

Apparently insurance paid out $17,000 on the car and he was looking to get into another GT-R now.

We went out on a test drive on Thursday, March 20th at around 6:30pm and I went along for the drive with him. The car wasn't running properly because the battery was stone dead and wouldn't take a charge. The computer kept resetting itself and the fuel management was all messed up so the car was surging. I told him to leave his number and I'd give him a call when we swapped out the battery.

I tried calling up the number he gave me which was 457-6658 and of course it was not an active number.

He showed up again today at around 12:45pm - when I questioned him about the number he said that I had wrote it down wrong and it was actually 457-6657. Made sense at the time, and seeing as I am a trusting person I allowed him to go on a solo test drive, as the guy seemed to be a genuine buyer.

Long story short, a 10 minute test drive quickly turned into a stolen vehicle.

The police came by, took a statement and put out the word across Calgary and Canada.

I'm not expecting to see the car back in one piece, but I am crossing my fingers.

Thanks.

I didn't want to make another unnecessary thread for what I'm about to post. And I know everything that needs to be said has been said before.

I just got back from doing school work at the unversity. The biggest decision I have to make after leaving school each time is to take the route though town to get home or hit the interstate. Basiclly that either means I go straight though a 'certain intersection' or take a left at the 'certain intersection'. Left will take me though town and straight will put me on the interstate. I deiced to go though town. I get to the intersection, its completely red, and I'm the first one there. Since I'm gona go though town I get into the middle turning lane. Normally, I'd just blow through the stop light if it is this late at night since it never wants to change for motorcycles. But cars were in the opposite direction this time around. So, I'm sitting there, another car pulls up at the lane to the far right and there is a single right seperating us and then another car pulls in behind me. Now, I hear a couple of popos coming up from behind. I turn back to look and all I see are a bunch of head lights coming up. A few cars and the popo lights. Can't really tell how fast they are coming but I assume it must be an emergency so I stay put and assume the cops will take percautions when they get up to the light. Next thing I know this car flys right by me in the empty lane to my right going like 90MPH and the cops fly right though to. Now this is the first time in my life I've seen someone runing from the cops that isn't on TV.

What if I decided to take the interstate home? All 3 lanes would have been occupided by the time the dude running got to the intesection. I doubt he would have went into on coming traffic. Would he have seen me? Probably would have plowed right through me. If that happened I wasn't wearing any gear. I doubt the gear would have helped me considering he would have ran me over after he hit me.

I <3 my bike.
