Milspec Vest
Hey all. I know there are a lot of military in here, and on our base anyway they require a brightly colored, reflective upper garment from dusk till dawn. Most guys wear these milspec vests, (icon). Its an orange reflective vest, but it doesn't look like a crossing guard vest, and it has a pocket in the chest for your military id...which definatly comes in handy when going through security. I can't seem to find them on my usualy gear sites, so if somebody knows what i'm talking about i would greatly appreciate a nod in the right direction. Also, I know some military msf guys get a discount and i wondered if anybody in here had that and would feel like sharing.

Here you go.... Click here.
I POS (piece of ****) vest in the mornings... it's dark at 4am. But in the day, bright colors is the only requirement... so my bright blue joe rocket alter ego passes. It actually has reflective areas and will pass for dark riding... but you know how the gate guards can be.

RE: Milspec Vest
Yeah, we just recently shifted to where most of our security is contracted out, so they don't know all the riding rules. They do know you should be bright and reflective at night, but I have a jet black icon jacket during the day, and i've had one guy say something about it...but he wasn't sure so he let me go. Most guys take a backpack anyway and mine is white, so if i wear it they leave me alone.
