anyone hear about this? Chevrolet is actually taking the truck to study it to see what they did right, lol. i almost guarentee you they give him a brand new Chevy truck.

Yeah, I heard about this guy on the radio yesterday. If he is legit I think he deserves a new truck.

 

my brothers old s10 has over 300k on it
mine's got 154k on it and other than a clutch and alternator it's basically same as new
i'll never own a truck that isn't a chevy

 

my 1995 toyota camry has 300k on it and its still going strong.

 

Chevy will buy the truck so they can figure out what not to do. They dont make money if no one is buying.

 

Crazy! Kinda hard to belive he went 1 million miles in that Chevy, shoot most my frinends barely make it 100k in theres! [sm=icon_rofl.gif]HAHA

I wonder how many components in the driveline have been replaced and, are not really original. That goes the same for the engine, maybe it has been rebuilt once or twice, maybe they are not the same pistons? I guarantee the intake has been resealed more than once with that mileage. I am not badmouthing the truck, because I prefer GM's over Ford and Dodge, but I am sure GM wants to buy it to see what components have actually withstood that time and mileage. You have to admit that it is pretty cool, because I am usually suprised to see 200,000 or more miles on the vehicles I see at the Dealership.

200k is no feat as long as you do normal maintenance
