I think you might have misunderstood what I was saying. I mean that all my training in weapons pretty much goes to waste in the civilian world. I can't find anything in the local classifieds that request knowledge in weapons

I was just being lighthearted about that comment. If I had it to do over again, I would still join the armed forces.

I think that everyone should be given two choices when they turn 18: either go to college or join the military. Obviously, this will never happen. I am just voicing my opinion

Air Force for 6 years so far. Plan on making it a career since it is really good life. I am no where near Camp Pendleton.

if you think your training in weapons is good for nothing, your way mistaken bro. depending on your background, what your qualed in and how proficient your training is theres a ton of things you can do, and make decent money..you can basically walk onto any police force in california (after academy) with a higher base pay, especially if you were in a combative MOS..or if your high speed, you could easily get into something like black water or other private contract security company. you can be a civilian instructor for the military, tons and tons of things you can do with that knowledge..

6 years USAF (some number of years ago)... weapons... that doesn't transfer to much in the civilian world
I hear ya, I workedon ejection seats for fighter jets.

15 years USAF. Started out as aircraft maintenance then crossed over to comm officer about 3 years ago.
