So what speed does google maps and others to determine the destination time?

 

45mph all the way there.

Edit: On second calculations it seems to depend on how far your going.

Places close to you 45mph, places a medium distance away is 55mph, and far away places is 65mph. Speed seems to vary between 45-65mph.

 

Actually I believe it assumes you will be doing the posted speed limit on every road required to meet your destination.

 

Google maps doesnt know the speed limit of every road.

 

It does it at 60

google does indeed know all. But...i do believe backroads it calculates 45-55 probably, and interstates-highways 65...

but somehow i always get there before im supposed to be there..wierd[&:]

 

Weird, I usually get there 25-30 mins afterwards because the last 25% of the directions are always bass-ackwards.
Telling me to turn onto non-existant roads or telling me to swim across the ocean... bleh.
