Default Make a Supermoto?

I want a supermoto (dirtbike kinda thing with street tires)

can i just get a used dirtbike and slap street tires on it? is there much more then that. mabey adjust the suspension.

I havent found many on craigslist for sale but i see dirtbikes all over the place for cheap so i think i could just convert one of those, has any one owned one or know anything more about them. I sat on a friends suzuki DR-Z400SM which is there supermoto and liked it, even though i couldn't touch the ground, not even toes haha. (not a big deal, i barely touch riding my 600rr)

17inch wheelies that would fit i think would be the biggest problem.

Do a search on this in the open forums. Kid made one out of an XR400 and it sounded 1ike it was working great for him. He's bailed out on the site but if you PM him he'd probably respond.

i would assume you want to street it.... if so you probably need lights, signals and brake lights depending on what your state requires to be street legal

There's a few bikes out there that have all the lights on them already, ex. XR650L, XT225 (have one), DR-Z400 (1ike he said) All these bikes are setup as street legal dirtbikes. There's some states out there that will let ya make a offroad dirtbike road legal 1ike your saying...Wisconsin isn't one of them[:@]
