So I get stopped near my house for rolling a stop sign.

I tell the cop I certainly stopped completely. He says no way, I never put a foot down. So I tell him I've raced bikes my whole life and I simply track stand at stops.

He says BS and tells me if I can track stand my bike for 10 full seconds , he'll let me go.













Pulled it off for 30+ seconds...under pressure.....before he said good enough He even video taped it.

Whooof.

Let me tell you, 30 seconds felt like 30 minutes. I though he was never going to call it off. I was honestly sweating like a "pig".

Nice story. I think around here the official rule for coming to a complete stop is that you must touch a foot to the ground, no matter how long your forward momentum has ceased. Glad to hear that you were able to work out a deal with him.

I think it probably is here too. But I'm guessing he was just calling my bluff and I got lucky and pulled it off.

 

so is a track stand where you just dont touch the ground but are completely stopped? Just takes some good old fashoined riding time to get good at?
