Lost a little bit of skin..
Looks like you turned out very lucky!you got to keep your palms...when iwrecked, i palmed a big sharp rock and put a nice gouge in my hand down to the bone...pretty cool lookin at the time..but sucks now. Now...ive got a nice scar, and no feeling in over half of my palm... i would have been fine if there wasnt a car to hit..or a bunch of sharp rocks...or a guard rail...
now its all gear all the time...gettin a nice pair of gloves to withstand a nuclear disaster for christmas...
Do you have any back pain??....hey, now you can show the chicks all the battle wounds that you got from riding...
now if you got a scar from slipping off the ****ter...thats not one to show..but you got em from doing something cool
...thats how i look at it.
heal up man...make sure those suckers dont get infected.

lol not QUITE as embarrasaing as slipping off.. but almost. Sweeping left hander at about 75, there was some sand on the center line that i avoided, target fixation and bam.
naw no back pain as far as i can tell... had to get my pelvis xrayed though, which was the most hilarious thing in the world when the xray techsaw my piercings hahahahhahahahhhahhahahahah. My pelvis is fine though.

That sucks that you had to go through all the agony. Good to hear that you've learned from the experience though. I learned to wear gear in similar fashion. Had an accident and would of walked away without a scratch had I had something on [&o]. Wasn't too bad, just a bunch of stitches.
The lesson paid off though! Wearing my gear which consisted of a Dianese Jacket, a pair of those long sleeved Icon gloves on with all the titanium plates and rivets in the palm, Boots, and heavy denim. I went sliding across asphalt for about 20 - 25 feet on my stomach with palms down. Walked way with out a scratch. Casualties... my belt buckle was ground up, palms of the gloves were destroyed (rivets pulled out and stitching began to pull apart), scratched up the elbow and chest of the jacket, ripped hole in jeans, and chewed up the toes of my boots while sliding. There were even scrapes around on one of ankles my boots. It wouldhave been ugly had I not had anything on.
