same thing happened to my friend in his dorm last year... not sure about you but they were on the 5th floor so no chance of a window escape either. The maintenence guys pretty much jsut used a crow bar and busted the lock mechanism off of the wood door (these are some serious fire doors too haha) took them like an hour to open it... GOOD LUCK hahah

im aware that its on your side of the door as it should be other wise the door would open outwards. and you dont need any tools you could use a pencil or ben and a book if you had too

hahaha the same thing happend to me, i took the entire lock apart from the inside. than i had the apartment mait.take care of it, than, they put it on backwards lol they didnt even put a new one in ahhahaaha so i ripped it off again after it locked me out lol. and just left it off haahah
