I've heard people refer to sport bikes in general as "ricer bikes". Not usually the brightest or most open-minded people.

Everybody I know calls them "crotch rocket". I ALWAYS correct them stating that it is a term that sport bike riders do not prefer. It gives a negative out look on the sport bike community. I ask them why they use it and the normal response is 'I usually see them excessively speeding or doing wheelies in traffic.' It is stupid shyt like this that irritates me. It happens though.

The other day my boss said she saw me on my crotch rocket... made me giggle a little bit. We also have a friend that likes to talk about our "side dishes" (since he now rides a Harley instead of a Gixxer).

I prefer sportbike, just because I don't feel as silly saying it

DonorCycle is popular among EMS / medical professionals / cops that don't ride.

I politely correct them and say "Ororo... Her name is Ororo" when they call her that.

I've always called mine ricers. I'm into high horse street cars (camaros monte carlos etc) and diesels so the bikes are just rice for me. I do it more less on a messing around basis, oh yea brought the rice today. At the end of the day who really cares what someone else calls they're bike. I call my camaro the b****.
