I should be able to get it to you Jinx since i am more on the east side of the state with you being in Santa Monica you may be the closest to the pacific.

Would it be a bad idea to schedule the relay with participants and locations so we will be ready?

I'm thinking that for the first annual, we keep it as simple as humanly possible. Next year (if it catches on) we can try to make it get there and back faster. and for that it wouldn;t be a bad idea to use Classics idea and schedule a meet/ swap. I was going to Engrave CBRforum on it somwhere, but i'm all for signing your name before you leave it somewhere.

I'm using the rear, and probably a pretty decent size chain or cable to lock it down so i would suggest bringing a backpack to carry it in. If someone steals it then that sucks.

try not to leave it on private property or somewhere where one might get into trouble for retrieving it.

like i said, i'm doing the first leg on Saturday and heading to the dutchess county area. if anyone on here knows that area, i'd suggest picking it up sunday and continueing.

I'd also add that as a general rule of thumb, do NOT keep it for more than 1 week. so if you ride far to get it on one saturday... make sure that by the next weekend you are leaving it somewhere.

and the whole point of this is to RIDE to new places, so no cages!!!

I'm in. If it gets to the North Alabama/Southern Tennessee area, I will pass it on.

and we should track it on google maps or something so we can all see exactly where it is and what route it took to get there

I think if people used a sharpie to sign the thing along the way, that would be cool too. Post a pic of your sig and where you locked it up at......
I'm in for southern ohio, northern Ky or western west virginia........ I live and ride the whole area.....
