Lasagna Dinner
Thanks for everyone that helped me on my lasagna dinner project. Wanted to share some pics.
Had to start off with the crucial first step:
All the ingredients ready to go:
I had to make my own sauce. I blended two cans of crushed tomatoes, and two cans of stewed tomatoes. Thenbrowned the beef and sausage, added five cloves of garlic, two onions, fresh basil and oregano, one can of tomatoe sauce, two tbl spoons of sugar, olives, and mushrooms. This is after it had simmered for a couple of hours:
By then, it was time for another bottle of wine:
The final product:
It came out perfect. That bit of nutmeg in the cheese was a great tip. I ran out of Mozerella chese, and actually had to grate swiss cheese and pour powdered parmesean cheese on the top, but that tasted really good. After two bottles of wine, we were feeling a little Krenshawed. I have to admit, between the wine and the food, my wife initiated some unsolicited livingroom floor sex. Maybe I should cook more often. I guess you were right, Frydaddy...
