just a friendly reminder from your local neighborhood havoc
dont drink and ride. its dumb and it can ruin not only your life but everyone who cares about you and hell maybe even someone you have never met. you may think you are ok to ride after 1-2 beers but is it really worth it? i am not sitting up here trying to preach to you about how bad it is.. cause then i would be a hypocrite. tonight i met up with some friends at a local bar and i had a few drinks. things got heated in the bar so i had to cut out earlier then planned. i had 2 beers but planned on being there awhile but plans changed. now without getting into "oh well i can handle my liquor" blah blah blah. all i could think about on the way home was how dumb i was being and just let me get home safely. granted there were not that many cars on the road but still ... all it takes is one.. hell not even one most motorcycle related crashes involve only the rider.
anyways i got home safe , but i feel like a jackass for doing something dangerous like this. i am completely fine and i would pass a breathalizer test with no problem but its something inside of me that feels guilty.
flame me if you want i deserve it. but as long as someone takes a 2nd thought before drinkin and riding then it was worth it. oh yea and dont powerwheelie a hayabusa ....but thats another story

It sounds like anything anyone here could say would pale in comparision to how you feel. So I wont flame ya, as you know what you did wasnt the greatest idea. Its the people that dont care and do it over and over again without any regard to others that need to be flamed. But now, next time I"m betting your going to give yourself some more time between drinks. I"m not a big drinker anyway, but I've always done the one beer, one water routine. that way, I had two drinks, but one was water...
Enough of this.... I want to hear the busa story.

Exactly ..........
I have one major RULE OF THUMB...
If I gulp even 1 can of my favorite beverage ...
ICY COLD, mouth wrenchingly tasty( Jimmy Black ) yummmmmmmmmmm
the keys to my ride stay put ..NO MATTER WHAT!!!!!!
It is 20 deg/ celsius here 72 F .. stars are out right now !! .. my ride is sitting there ... a friggin great evening...but I am going no where !!!!
( yer ok ....so I am available to drive CBR forum members nutty :-)
Seriously ... hell will freeze over , the planets can start rotating in reverse... my mates can hang girly **** on me ... my bloody ride stays parked .. !!
( I drink and drool over her instead of wrecking her )
We have 2 cages parked in the drive ... and if I have had even just " A " can ... I take the 4wd
My ride stays put...
Rides are way more difficult to handle after even one strong drink than any cage !!!!!
As I have tagged at the bottom of alot of my posts .. our Australian police warning that is advertised here ...
[align=center]DRINKING AND DROOLING IS QUITE OK !!
[/align]
[align=center]BUT...... IF YOU DRINK AND RIDE OR DRIVE ...YOU ARE A BLOODY IDIOT !!

And besides, you'll probably spill most of it.
Geeeeeeeeeee how often do we get to tell a mod he's a dumbass........
must be a first.
Good thinking HAVOC
I adopt the pilot's code:
8 hours bottle to throttle, works for me.
+1 to everyone else's comments, especially poor old CBRClassic, whose poor old kangaroos just lost the Bleddesloe Cup..........ar ar ar.

+1 Havoc...I can feel my control of the bike change after just 1 beer even though I don't really feel the beer, so I made it my rule to NEVER mix beer and bikes. Hell, I won't even ride if I feel too tired. There's simply too much to think about on a bike, and you need to have all of your wits.
