1 on 1 in the prime, i say kobe... many people overlook how good kobe's D is

 

Have you guysever seen "Pros vs. Joes" ? That iswhat Jordan was doing in this video. He was making elementary school kids look dumb. Kobe is the real deal, and I will put him in prime time vs. Jordan any day of the week. Kobe has more chops at a younger age than Jordan. I will give Sir Airness the edgeon defense, but I thinkKobe wouldchatter Jordan's teeth with his cross-over. Am I committing blasphemy right now? One individual can't be "The Best" forever, unless they are Joe Montana. Kobe may not have won a ring w/o Shaq yet, but Jordan also could not have won cchit without HIS roll players. Kobe FTW...

Toss up, neither one is stoppable in their prime. If they played 100 games it would prolly be damn near 50-50.

I just can't compare two great players in different eras. Back when Jordan was playing in his prime, he was the best and there was no dispute about it. In the case of Kobe, you have disagreements of him being the best in the NBA even though he is.

I grew up watching Jordan, so of course I would have to go with him, but they are both great players. Jordan is the past and Kobe is the present so you will never really know who is better, just opinions....

Kobe is a great player, and him and Shaq were unstoppable, but the same with Jordan and his team, one player is not going to carry the team the whole way. they might try but then when they are the only one making the plays they say hes a ball hog...

 

The fact that this is a never ending debate shows both players are great in their own right. And whi.le it can never be answered, ESPN did some kind of virtual reality match up whe.re they matched up in a computer simulation using input from actual games and Jordan won .. not that it proved anything, but it was interesting. Hav.ing followed him in his days at UNC and attended games with his battles vs. Dominique and all the games available locally on WGN Chicago, imo Jordan used his team much better to enhance his own strengths. I don't get to watch Kobe as much but from what I've seen Jordan had better overall skills whi.le Kobe has some great individual talents .. maybe if Kobe gets more rings I'd be more open to the comparison .. that is the ultimate goal of the game after all.
