its contagous!
im sure everyone knows by now that yawning is caused by a lack of oxygen to the brain. so we'll leave that out.
there are enough of us on here.......i think we can figure out why the hell yawning is SO contagous! i mean, it even works through the phone (no, seriously!). i find it odd as hell that as soon as someone else yawns, it makes people around them yawn.
what the hell?!

Yawning is a reflex of simultaneous inhalation of air and stretching of the eardrums, followed by exhalation of breath. Pandiculation is the term for the act of stretching and yawning simultaneously.Yawning is also associated with tiredness, stress, overwork, lack of stimulation, or boredom.
Yawning can also be a powerful non-verbal message with several possible meanings, depending on the circumstances. In humans, yawning has an infectious quality, i.e. seeing a person yawning, or just thinking of yawning, can trigger yawning which is a typical example of positive feedback

i hate the feeling of need to yawn but you can get one deep enough to satisfy the urge, i have that feeling right now. My stumache is so full i am having a hard time getting a deep breath.

Ive seriously been stuck on this subject for a couple of months.. Ive "yawned" countless times just to see how many people I can get to do it while theyre mid sentence. Ive been trying to crack my dog for a while though.. I dont think yawns are contagious to different species.
Im being serious here when I say that this thread made me yawn. Anyone in here with me on that?

I sure did this morning here when I wilki-ed the first reply in ..
I can make my dog Max yawn ..it takes a few minute but he does crack eventually ...
Mine you , he prolly just gets bored watching me pull stupid faces at him yawning ..
