Ok Jules, just so i dont start an arguement, does it not rain there quite a lot? Especially in winter when the grass would normally die off?

 

TK, this whole it rains constantly in the UK is one of those myth things based on half truths .. for instance I have never been to Manchester and not have it rain, it just seems permanently wet or dull there .. Lake District can be rainy too, very rainy ..but, on the whole there are lots of areas where it doesn't rain as much ... take Pembrokeshire where I visit so frequently, Tenby and Dale have the the most sun hours there than anywhere in the UK .. everytime I go its dry and sunny, youve seen my pics of the beaches etc and the area ..its like that more than its not ... I went for 3 weeks last time and had two good weeks of dry sunny weather but came home on the third week as the weather turned bad ... my area up by the Shropshire canal is not bad either ..we have had a rainy summer on the whole this year more than usual, but that doesnt mean it rained everyday it means we had a week of sun, a week of rain, another week of sun ... etc. plenty of days in isolation of just sunny weather ..we also have a big divide between North and South, the South being noticeably warmer ... when my sis lived in London and I visited in summer I found it too hot and dry, not used to it at all ..I prefer the cooler but still warm temperatures I have by me ... Scotland I just find bloomin cold and miserable ..lol
