Intervention
Anyone ever watch this show on A&E? If not, I'll explain:
A person gets addicted to some type of drug.
The family is falling apart.
The drug addict and the family agree to have a film crew to create a documentary on their drug use.
Toward the end of the show, the family has an 'intervention' with a doctor
The addict will then agree (or disagree) to seek treatment.
At the end of the show, you get to find out if the person is successful at breaking their drug habit, or if they die.
It's sad. I'm watching an episode right now and it makes me feel so sorry for these people.
Drug addiction is no joke, and this show makes me thankful for what I have.
That is all.

Whats sad is 'some' actually dont think they have a problem, or choose to be like that. But once an addict always an addict. I'm blessed I kicked mine but I have to watch my behavior n stay away from those who still use. Oh n alot of prayers too.
I've lost a few friends to that stuff.. I dunno if I could handle watching a show like that if it's anything like what I've seen in person. I'm glad it's trying to make changes in people's lives though.
I'm watching an episode right now where this girl spends all her time at a graveyard because she can't wait to die. I used to be like that (minus the drugs) so i know all about that helpless feeling. My heart goes out to these people.
I*ve watched that show with a guilty conscience because I dont like reality tv in general (except a few shows like COPS) but that one seems to be putting peoples most personal moments out there which isn*t anyone elses business .. but on the other hand I guess it helps some people to see what can really happen and the family also signed off on it .. still makes me feel like a peeping tom watching that show though.
Speaking of Intervention, there*s one thread here currently that needs some serious intervention [&:]
