RE: Insurance (Full Coverage or Liability)
From my understanding bikes go down in price, not up.... so if i paid $8000 cash for the bike then why would i want to pay for this amount of insurance if i wreaked in the:
First Year $4000
Second Year $7000
Third Year $10000
KBB or full price it doesnt matter it still dosent add up to being a good idea (at least to me).

It helps out a lot if you can put it on an existing policy.. because I have two other vehicles listed, my bike is considered 'recreational' meaning they dont think I ride it everyday when its nice out.
I would encourage people when they are looking at quotes to ask them what kinds of discounts you get when you add car(s) to it as well. I know it sounds messed up but if you pay for renters insurance through one of the larger companies your prices will go down.
Get married that always works too.
I know that most states require full coverage (or at least your bank does) whenever you are making payments on something. Does it make sense to pay $3000 a year on something that will only be worth $3000 after its paid off? Well I guess I have to look at the medical coverage that comes with it if it was my fault during an accident. Is my 87 cane worth full coverage? Probably not... is my life worth it? I would think so.

Switchin to Grange in a few weeks..
As of right now..
Allstate - $62/month full coverage.. - bike
$250/month deductiable..
Im pushin 25 witha fewviolations..
I have 4 other vehicles on my policy and 2 of them dont see 10000 miles a year.. Theyre considered show vehicles, so that drops the premium drastically..

OK I did major shopping on this. As far as I can tell Progressive is the cheapest. I have a $200 deduct on Comprehensive and a $500 if I hit someone else or wreck my bike some how else. I pay around $95 a month for this. Geico is a total rip off. They would charge me $2000 more a year for the same policy.
