2 bikes and a quad. a 2000 cbr929rr, a 2003 suzuki drz400-s, and a 2002 honda 400ex. i have the basic full coverage on all three with $500 deductables and i pay $430 a year through foremost insurance. btw, i have a decent driving record and i'm single and 25 years old. i also have my truck insured through the same broker, but a different carrier.

I have a 97 CBR 900 and I pay $282 per year with Allstate for full coverage w/ $500 deductable. I was ready to buy an 06 CBR1000R and checked the rate for the same coverage and it was going to be $1600 per year. I checked with Progressive and they were closer to $2300 per year. Based on the insurance I decided to keep the 97 for a while longer. I am 38 and have had no tickets or accidents in the last 10 years.

State Farm
They base rates on engine size not classification (sportbike, cruiser) I pay 72/month on a 929. If you have your vehicle there first, its a lot cheaper.

I have Allstate, I pay $270 a year for liabilty only, full overage was around $1600 a year for my 02 954. I'm 34 so that makes a diff. too.

Will there be a huge difference if you don't already have your cars with State Farm. I am with USAA but they use Progressive for motorcycle insurance here in Northern Virginia. I haven't heard many good things about Progressive so I don't think I want to go with them. They quoted me 1300 (12 months) for full coverage on a 2006 CBR F4i with 500 dollar deductible. It was like 300 a year for liability only. I wish USAA did motorcycle insurance themselves as they seem like a decent bunch.
