insomnia
its 3:36 am....im still up....like i am everyday at this time. im not tired, theres really nothing on my mind, yet here i am, just trying to kill time till i fall asleep...whats everyone else doing up in the wee hours of the night?
just gettin home from work... I dont get off till 2 in the morning so its "natural" for me to be up at this hour... I know how you feel though... on my days off, or my workdays, i just cant seem to ever sleep normal... but then i wake up tired... whats up with that
Couple things I do to get to sleep. both involve alcohol. 1/Warm milk, chocolate powder and generous nip of whisky. (I sometimes throw in a marshmallow for luck). 2/Green Tea & a nip of Brandy. Thing with Insomnia, more you want to sleep, the harder it is to get. Relaxtion is the key. Do something till you feel tired, cept playing video games (they get your brain working to much to relax) Read, go for a walk, put on some layed back music. If its still cold where you are, don't wrap yourself up in blankets with the heater on to stay to warm, lowering your body temp a bit, makes your brain want to shut down unnecessary things to keep you warm, and putting you sleep is one of em. Oh, and going through the pretence of yawning actually promotes the real thing.
3:36 is about 24 minutes from when I start my day everyday...crazy Catman. The hardest thing in the world to do is to go to sleep when you are thinking about going to sleep. I HATE THAT!!! Good luck on your insomnia.
Tryin' to sleep/think about sleep is worst torture! Mr. voodoochyl has an uncanny knack for taking the words right out of my mouth! I am up, all night, because you people write faster than I read! Pax, G.
