Yesturday after work it was about 55 but cloudy @ 6am so me and my buddy decided to go for a ride. It was sprinkling a little bit but no worries. We rode for about 2 1/2 hours and it gradually got colder so we decided to take the bikes back to my place. When we got to my drove way I went to put the bike on the kickstand to open the garage door and well I missed and we both went down, me and the bike. It happened so fast I couldn't even try to stop it. I ended up scratching my tail section a little, but it might buff out and I broke my front blinker. I just got done putting the damn blinkers on so I more pissed about that than I am about the scratch. I'll get some pics later on but I will say that the frame sliders did their job. My right leg is a little scraped up and a little sore, I hit it when we went down but I'm alright. Just thought I share my little story with you guys.

I feal you're pain, I did the same thing not more then a month after I bought my baby. I was backing out of a parking spots at the ATM, and stepped in a hole.[:@] Frameslidres wouldn't have done any good cause the hole was big enough to swallow the whole freakin bike. Some scratches but the new paint job will take care of those. But as far as I'm concerned it could have been MUCH worse![8D]

Glad you're o.k. You wouldn't believe the number of peeps who've broken legs or ankles from similar falls.

 

Yeah its all good, I just guess I got it out of the way. I was planning on getting the bike repainted to take care of the rash from the previous owner, so I just added the tail section to the list. If I would have had my rear pegs on I think it would have prevented the scratches so those are going back on tomorrow and I have to clen it because its filthy. Like you all said at least I wasn't hurt too bad and I would have been really mad if I would have broken my ankel or something. After I get it all cleaned up I'm going to see if I can fix my blinker so I don't have to buy new ones.

i did the same thing stoped in my budys drive way and put my foot down and slipped on some small gravel sraped mt mirror signal flare and stator cover

 

that sucks...i feel your pain!
