omg omg omg it's crazy right wing bible thumpin propaganda!!!! lmao

First the irony, that you call upon god three times in the same sentence as you declare it propaganda. And second, Saint Christopher is the Catholic patron saint of travel, totally unrelated to mainstream bible belt rightist 'thumpers'. In fact, he's mentioned exactly zero times in the bible.

Even Catholics suspect he never really existed, and the medallion is only a charm to bring good luck against all the block-headed, myopic, self-fisting chucklers such as yourself.

apart from the fact i was being sarcastic, you seem to be one of those religious hard on's.

omg = oh my gosh just as easily as oh my god...... you are assuming.

and it's funny how catholics and christians are always trying to say they are different.....read the same ole bible, pray to the same old "God", have the same ole customs and holidays......yeah sounds TOTALLY different to me :P

Thats a good point ^^^ . Never thought of it that way. I found the "Icon" in my Icon about a year ago and thought it was cool, but your right, if it was a pentagram or some Islamic or hindu tailsmen (sp?) I would have returned the jacket in a heart beat. Hmmmmmm. an Icon in an Icon???

Catholics and Chrisitans (protestants) are different tard. Catholics do have a slightly different bible, its alot of the same books but it also has a couple extras in there. Yeah both groups pray to the same God, but so do Jews and Muslims. Their traditions are completly different from ours if you havent noticed, so would that make us the same? I just dont really get your point in that last sentence i guess.

And as far as people not wanting to buy it cause it has the pendant in it, then thats your business. And if the jacket were made of an Islamic prayer rug or had a star of David hidden in it, then personally, id still buy it. God is God, and to me it really doesnt matter how you pray to Him.

really think that? go ask a muslim if he believes in God or just a concept of a god. See what he says.

I agree with dizzie. If you really want an interesting experience why don't you look into the origins of Islam and Christianity and see if the only fundamental difference isn't who their prophet is. In fact, the dividing line between several religions is merely who they elect as the Son of God.
I am a Christian, but I find myself often disgusted with not only the face of modern religion but the actions of my own individual church. I simply don't feel that God, however you choose to define Him, calls upon His followers to hate or kill others, under any circumstance.

That being said, if I were in the hospital and a Muslim asked if he could pray for me, I wouldn't refuse, I would welcome it. Religion is really a basis for morality (that isn't to say that morality can't exist without religion) but if a company elects to do something like Icon is to me it shows a moral responsibility and placing value on each individual consumer.

What if Alpinestars used a 5 pointed star for their logo instead of 4? With the understanding of the significance, would that affect your purchasing decisions? If you don't like having the charm in your pocket then remove it, give it to someone else who might appreciate it. It's not that hard. Don't be so bigoted as to act as though religion is being foisted upon you. But if it really offends you that much, then there is nothing forcing you to buy their products, use the forces of capitalism. Spend your money elsewhere.
