He should get 5 years in prison, parents should get 10. Maybe some real discipline would wake a few of these morons up.

When I was a kid my parents would have beat me unconcious if I tried to pull a stunt like that.

Officer: "Do you think you should be punished?"
****thead kid: " Just no videogames or something like that for ah... the weekend ... or something"

Kid should be afraid for his worthless life for something like that.

How about making hte kid actually work to repay evry single cent worth of damage he did.

Have him push a lawnmower, and clean the neighborhoodtill he's 18

Hell we used to do that for free when i was young, just because our parents told us to...

Looks like they should take away the video games, grand theft auto is giving this kid too many ideas. Next thing you know he's gonna do is take a gun from the house and shoot someone.

I blame that MTV and that newfangled rap music for everything.

Poor granny wants to beat his ***, but she is afraid of child "services". I think that is a serious problem in our society. I got my *** beat when I messed up. I wasn't getting abused, but the rod was an option I had to consider every time I decided to f_ck up. These days, you have to count to three, and you can't spank your kids. If officer Voodoo was on the scene, he would have been face down on the hot asphalt after experiencing my billy club, pepper spray, and tazer. I would have, of course, told him, "This will hurt me more than it is going to hurt you." Seriously, though, his granny has to pay for the damages, and his biggest concern is how long he can't play his video games? This kid needs instant and decisive care. Anyone up for an intervention?

The only people concerned about child services are the ones who have already been in contact with child services. In other words, they've had problems before, I guess that goes without saying.

It is a common misconception about child abuse. Yes your kid can still call child services*, yes other people can call them, but we're also not talking about BEATING your kids.

Beatin' someone upand gettin' yer *** beat are two completely different things. So long as it's not excessive (I know, it's vague), whip your kid when they need it. If the cops get called, big deal. If you're in a populated area anyway, chances are there are cameras. Let them look at the footage and see your kid acting up then getting their *** beat. Case closed.

I think most reasonable people can tell the difference between punishment and abuse. **** the rest of 'em.
