lol, I rode a CBR1000RR while at the gap this week. I too took it easy as it wasnt my bike, and I was on the Dragon lol. But over all, seemed a nice bike, way more aggressive seating position which my neck wasnt use too lol. Power, well my 600 seems more peppy under 7k rpm, but I'm sure that 1k comes to life after that lol.

You need to ride a little bit more than that to appreciate the raw power of a liter bike.

I rode a 06Gix1k around the twisties a while ago and was pretty impressed; I remember doing about 120mph+ in 3rd gear... freakin ridiculous

the raw power of a 1k is a waste in the twisties I ride more of the time tho, a 600 will go just as fast if not faster with the right rider.

I did like the fact I didnt have to rev the shyt out of it to go about the same speed tho , but the 6 sounded alot meaner lol

I'd love to ride it a little more, but it's a friend of my boyfriend's and he's only keeping it in the garage with our bikes since he moved. I've read enough on here to know that a newbie WILL WRECK A 1000. And more importantly, it has expired plates.

I am constantly bugging him to let me ride his 750 more. I figure sooner or later he'll hand me the key just to shut me up.

Yeah, my bike more or less becomes a one gear bike in the twisties.
