Harley Davidson. Well, except my job because I love my job. So here's the story, I'll try to make it as short as possible.....

I work for a credit union and 40% of our membership is Harley Davidson employees. A guy came in who works for Harley to pay off a loan with us. I looked and saw that it was a motorcycle loan and started writing Harley Davidson on the lein release form. He said no wait my Harley has been paid off for three years it's for my Honda. I looked at the collateral and sure enough it was a Honda Interceptor. I said, "so you made the switch over huh?" in a joking mannor and he looked at me and said "no... I just... bought a Honda." He was starting to give me some attitude. I told him that I ride a Honda too and I like it.

About 30 minutes later I hear my boss on the phone talking about stuff like no I'm sure he was joking around, yes actually 40% of our membership is Harley employees, yes I'll talk to the employee about it and other things like that for 5 MINUTES! I went back there because I knew she was talking about me and this jerk off **** bag was complaining about me!!!!!!!! This is the FIRST complaint I've ever gotten from ANYONE at a job!!!!!!!! I'm so upset right now because I am one of the most customer oriented people. I treat customers better than I treat myself. I've worked in commission sales for like 6 years I know how to treat people. I'm one of the nicest, most funny, and customer service oriented people I know. Then this guy has to hide behind a phone to complain about me?!?!!? what the heck?!!!?!?!? grrrrr I'm so upset right now this is the FIRST complaint I've ever had in all my years inthe workforce.

Stupid freaking Harley guy gets pissed because I ride a Honda, YOU HAVE A HONDA TOO RETARD!

yeah, customers suck. I have to deal with people like that all the time. you just have to realize that this guys whole life is miserable, and so he want to make someone elses life miserable to.

you should go back into the computer and accidentally erase all his payments and put him into default.

the important part, is what did your boss say? did she take it seriously, or let you know it was ok- that guy was an *** hat?

 

If this is the first complaint in all these years I wouldn't worry at all and chalk it up to an asshat complaining about you rather than beating his dog that day.

I'm sure your boss knows what is up, and if she hasn't spoken with you I wouldn't worry as she probably understood the guy was an asshat.

 

+1 On what did your boss say? And yeah... you just trying to associate with the customer and come off as a nice guy shouldn't had him calling in to complain. I mean... I'd like to say maybe he's had a bad day or something like that... but it really doesn't make it okay. Guess I'll chaulk him up to a kinda guy that wants the "Harley" image... but doesn't have the ***** to back it up. Ride a harley, buy a Honda, not like someone talking about your Honda, and then instead of being a man and calling out his own frustrations as it happens, he tucks his tail between his legs and runs off to **** on your curtails behind a phone. It's like being mad someone is hitting on your girl at a bar and just smiling and acting like it's fine, then going outside and keying someones car. Retarded.

 

I hate people like that. When I turned 18 I was working as a cashier for a supermarket. This old lady walks up with some booze so I jokingly ask her for her ID. I have never had a lady not be flabbergasted when I asked for an ID. Well this lady starts to yell at me, then my manager, and then the store director. stupid bitch. I hate some people.

 

Haha, old lady needed her fix! She probably hadn't hit up her "medicinal" marijuana yet either. Haha!

 

REPO that **** YO! That jerk does not deserve to own a HONDA!!!

 

Telephone tough guys. Thats what we called them in the pizza business. You would be amazed what someone will tell you when ordering a pizza, but when you show up at their address--yeah, because we delivered there--they crumble like theres no tomorrow.

 

My boss just told me I have to be careful what I say because 40% of our members ARE Harley Davidson factory workers. And actually I DO kid with a lot of members who are high up and bring in $2k checks a week. I tell them I'll never trade in my Honda fora Harley I have some really good raport with a lot of guys that come in. Grrrr Ok well I'm over it now I guess the day is over and now it is casino night at our chapter dinner so I'm off for some fun casino action with lots of prizes and food and drinks all the the credit unions expense!

If you have not had a complaint in years, why worry? There will always be 'that person.' The key is to be confident enough with your capabilities that you can let it go as a mis-interpretation. I would have gone to the gym and worked off that frustration.
