Download or pick up a coppy of your motorcycle rules of the road book at the police station/DMV, it should be in there.

EDIT :
I found a link for you... http://www.ncdot.org/dmv/driver_serv...toHandbook.pdf

Ya man i totally understand how you feel i have hed my permit for like 2 years now, LOL i'm tired of getting pulled over, I have set up my license ride test at the local DMV, so i'm crossing my fingers. I have a ninja 250 laying around so i'll use that to pass the test because i would just tip over on the 1000 trying to go so slow in the little circle

hopefully by may i'll be all legit license and insurance and reg!!

so excited

Same here, i LITERALLY drove in a 1 mile square, backed into a parking spot and was done. Super easy.

I heard the DMV riding test was pretty tough. I just did the MSF thing and got my license that way.

In Oregon, you can't ride by yourself with a permit. I got my permit to ride with friends, but ultimately took the MSF for a better grasp of practical skills, and so I could get my liscence without the DMV test. I think different states have different levels of anality (I just invented a word!). I didn't want to risk messing up on the test with my own bike.

No, that would be so funny though, have some dude on the back of your bike while you're trying to learn to ride(don't get Telgren started...)Here's a guy that is just learning:

What I meant was, you have to have a liscensed rider on a separate motorcycle with you when you ride. I understand that some states allow you to ride alone during certain parts of the day. Is it like that in Cali?

in ny with a permit you have to stay with in one mile of a supervising licenced rider with a permit. i took the MSF though but are instructor told us the nys test was easier then the msf test
