Default I need everyone's help!

Hey guys, I have this guy who works for mewho really needs to find himself a new job. He gets in my face every time I call him out for something and human resources says I can't fire him without him hitting me or saying he's about to. He's a few years older than me, and apparently it offends him to have to take orders from "a kid". Keep in mind this is a 30 year old guy with a wife and kid who still wants to work part time so he's sort of a deadbeat.

NOWwhat i need from you are good ideas onhow to get him to want to quit. Some of you crazy bastards have to have some good advice out there on how not to treat people.

[sm=insomnia.gif] thats fed up your trying to get him fired, but hey like i always say ever one gets what i say everone gets what they deserve in the end that includes you my freind.

wouldnt just be easier to work things out with the guy or stay away from him or let him say what he wants as long as he does his job.
just go to hr tell them he said some ghey comment and grabbed your ***

I had a guy who was a POS from the start, but we needed help. Once I got more help I waited until that saturday when he came hungover (again) and told him I needed him to shovel asphalt for the morning (its 300 degrees and smells bad, and putrid if you have a hangover). So after puking twice, which I made him go clean up, he still didnt get the message. So I kept finding small and crappy stuff for him to do, like clean things, and once he said he was done, I made him clean it again, and again until you could eat off of it. At about noon he said F that and quit.

+1 on that.. Give him **** work....It's kind of messed up, We had a guy at work who was overconfident...He was a realhothead... I mean this guy could do anything....He was better than everyone else. He could get a job done faster tan anybody in the area with better attention to detail and make the company more money.....He was GOD......After bragging himself up for monthsHE decided that HE needed a raise...LOL...Instead of getting a raise he got told by the boss that his bickering about "his back hurting" from pulling around the team was bringing down moral............This is what ended up happening..
Incident 1.) Two minutes late......Written up for being late and causing the rest of the team $$ since we had to wait for him.
Incident 2.)He initiated an argument with the boss.....Subordinization.....Write up #2 and fired....

If the guy isn't doing his job correctly, you need to keep track of it. Won't really do you much good though unless nobody else does the same stuff. Also, if any of your co-workers also have run ins with the guy they need to step forward. I had someone in the office who was the same way and I kept complaining. Nothing happened at first until several more people also said something. At that point, the person who I was complaining about was "downsized" from that position.

Anyway, HR isn't doing their job if they don't pull him aside and let him know that his attitude is unacceptable. Make sure at review time it is noted that he does not get along with his supervisor (if that is what you are) If he isn't getting the message now, perhaps he will if it costs him $$ down the road.

Ive had a couple of people work for me that were worthless. When I worked in the shop atmy work I was a lead and could not fire anybody. But I could send them home for the rest of the day. After yelling atthem and sending them home a few times they quit.

So far so good guys keep em coming...btw every confrontation I have with a rep is recorded and emailed to HR... I have every single one documented

One thing I think I need to more clear on is exactly what is going on here. First of all, let me say I am 23 years old, and the manager at a retail store. He's this 30 year old guy who thinks he's done everything in the world there is to do. Well the fact of the matter is, he's a 30 year old guy who dicks around all day and can't wait for Saturday night so he can run around town, sleeping with all the nasty bitches and cheat on his wife while she's at home taking care of his son. Furthur more, what kind of severely retarded douchebag says to his boss "I'm a grown *** man and I have my own agenda... you can't tell me what to do". Sounds like a 6 year old to me. You know what I was doing? Telling him that he needed to sell more accessories to go with his cell phones because 1. They get paid bank on their accessory sales and 2. I get paid bank off their accessory sales. I wasn't doing him any kind of injustice by telling him to sell more accessories, but he totally took it like a 6 year old... pitching a fit... he actually told me he was gonna scrap if I didn't show him some respect... I pretyt much told him to keep his feelings to himself because I didn't care what he thought I needed to do, I make the decisions and I will continue to do so until I find something else...

He's pretty much a POS like Telgren was saying... he doesn't deserve to get fired. That's too easy. I want to show him that I don't want him around, and I'll make it to where he will leave on his own.

One tihng I was thinking other than giving him bitch work, is to step in and start taking sales out from under him and then ringing them up in other sales reps names

do you make the schedule? cut his hours. the only surefire way to get someone to quit, they can't collect unemployment if they quit, and there is nothing illegal with you cutting his hours. **** jobs is a good idea too, there is nowhere that says you have to give him work he likes. btw, what do you mean he told you he was gonna scrap, like he was gonna fight you? isnt that what HR said you needed to fire his ***? all in all, if nothing works, if you are his supervisor, he can still work there, but you can make his life a living hell.

people always tend to have problems working for people younger than them, i was 19 and GM at dominos, well, you can tell how that went. in the end, they got over it, because its good to be king.
