I've been playing Chess Titans on Vista for about 20 games in a row. I have the difficulty level set on 2, and I still haven't won a game! Is defense really the best offense? Every time I try to get aggressive, my guys get stolen.

You may want to specialize. Work on your beginning game, oryour middle game, or your end game. Like basketball, there are set plays that you could know how to defend. Learn to recognize what your opponent is doing and counter. The best defense is a strong offense?...I'm not sure...too many variables. Put your **** out there is always my plan...and keep your Queen!

The way I like to look at the game of chess is to control the center 16 squares. Make the other guy go around you and split his forces while you defend the king and advance for attack. Look at the 'Sicilian Defense' it works well in the beginning, the next part of the game I get shakyon.
good luck.
good luck.

OK I put the level down to 1, and now I won 2 games in a row. If 1 is easy, and 2 is hard, then level 10 must be Russian hyper-chess mode!
I've never studied any real chess moves (openings, etc...) so I have no idea what you guys are talking about. I don't even know how to name the squares... I just know how the pieces are able to move, and I try to make up my own strategy.
