When I was at Laguna Seca, I sat on an Interceptor. Damn, was that thing comfy. Did you have a chance to sit on one of those? It was definately my choice for a sport touring bike. I just need to find about 11 grand to make it happen.

they had one there voodoo, but i didnt test out that one. i was really annoyed there. rude inconsiderate people that dont notice you're taking a pic and you wait for a line of 30 people to go by that SEE you holding the camera WAITING to take a pic. being there is like being in the mall w/ last minute Xmas shoppers................X10!
I have a buddy with an Aprilia (it is probably 4 years old and I don't know the model). It is 1000 cc's and it sounds awesome (would it have a twin?), and it had so much power thatI was not used to when he letme ride it. I would say it was a little bit hunched over, and I did not complain when I got back on my F4i. Kick *** bike, though.
Do you guys remember on that show "Superbikes", whenone of the hosts rode a VFR for like400 miles, and was bitching about the comfort. What a sissy! I'll bet I could ride an Interceptor 400 miles in a day...

That blacked out bikes from Yamaha are their "midnight" editions. I own an 06 1700cc midnight warrior. Pretty awesome bike. Shares its swing arm with the R1. Handles decent but lacks ground clearance.
Interesting thing about bike shows (& for that matter, car shows), that always seem to get the blood pumping, & sell a s**t load of of bikes & gear, ours is usually in October, which means we sometimes get a look at wots coming for the new year.
Never go by the seat of your pants feel with bikes when their sitting still, cruisers always feel comfortable with a big fat armchair for a seat, but a riding position thats pretty uncomfortable real quick, same for a European bikes, with most of your body weight on your wrists, alright with at a decent speed with the wind taking some of the strain, but really miserable in traffic.
