I had my bike fall off a stand before. I just stood there in shock as it slowly tipped off the stand and slammed down on it's side. I was furious - I wanted to tear my own head off and kick it across the garage. It's the only time anything but the tires have touched the ground. Aftera minute of yelling every obscenity I've ever heard, I litterally almost puked I was so upset.
I feel your pain. Best of luck with the repairs... and the bruises.

Hope you didn't get hurt at all. About the exhaust, it's an easy fix. You'll need to wet sand the scratched area until a majority of scratches are gone. Since the pipe is aluminum, it's easy to sand and take out a majority of the scratches. Start with a rough grit like 800 and then move to 1200. You be able to remove all the scratches with exception for the deep ones but once you repaint it, you'll never see them.

At least you did not go down while riding. I thought you had to stay off the bike for like 6 more weeks? Well it can be fixed so cheer up! It does suck to mess up something that is nice.

I had a 96 F3, and that muffler was steel.

Nope, it's aluminum. I've had to sand out scuffs from a stock pipe several times.
