In Aus I can buy P/C's with more power and better parts cheaper from the Computer markets that I can buy parts and build them, so I have not bothered for years now
I still do put smaller P/Cs together out of scrap parts for peeps that are on a no dollar budget
BTW...For anyone that is thinking of building there own.......a trained monkey could assemble a P/C .. so go for it...its not hard guys

check those so called better parts in those computer market boxes, its lowest bidder shyt in em trust me.

Yer ...may be sometimes? some of the parts are generic ...but at the end of the day I am not too fussed about P/C's ... because I can fixem I just grab any old power house and use it till it drops ...then grab another one ...
A good P/C here I can buy for $500max (3gig chip / 2 gig ram / ect ect bla bla
) and if it dies , scrap and sell it for the same 2 years later .. so I do not get too bothered going to much effort these days ..

I actually finally got through. I like Dell, but I hate the phone crap, and I have never had one really good experience with their customer service. The reason I had to buy from them is because I need to use my credit account. I don't have the duckets up front (don't say anything X...and I know better Kewl). Oh well, maybe I could put a 'puter on my Circuit City credit card...uhhhhh...maybe not. [&:] Aren't they going bank-o?
P.S. We are getting a laptop for my step daughter...the one I like so much.

I got my current computer from a shop, & they have set themselves up in a cheap shop rental to compete with the computer markets (except their open 7 days a week). Same stuff, same prices. Got a sh*t hot one for a fraction of the price the last 2 set me back. They will even replace parts & do upgrades for free, just for the fact your buying the gear from them.
