I hate computers.

I hate computers.
So my 500 gig seagate hard drive took a **** on me yesterday. I went to walmart and picked up a new one to get all of my data onto it. I've spent the last 5 hours copying and pasting files. If I do too much, everything locks up and it takes me another 20 mins to get the computer to recognise my **** hard drive and boot back up. It absolutely won't clone with my boot disk.
This is seriously like driving a car home that just threw a rod. When im done, its garbage, i just need to get home.
Oh yeah, I have 350GB of data to recover. Fun...

That's annoying.
Did you install the OS on the new hard Drive and boot from there and make the old harddrive the slave?

edit: and sata doesn't have master/slave jumpers. Boot device priority is modified in the bios.

Just bought a 1TB Seagate sata w/ 32mb buffer for $109 on Dell home.
Geeks.com had 500 barracuda's sata for $50.

It's still well within warranty, I just need my data right now.

Old drive died horrible death
Travels to huge chain store
Bought new one and wants to whack all his existing drive's **** on it.
Took bloody forever trying to chuck **** on new drive
Copies too much and system goes to bloody **** and stops
Takes even more time to make computer show his stuff on screen and restart
Will not load or show new drive even with little disk that can start computer in many sneaky ways
Trying to drive car with exploded engine
When finished something is getting thrown to the ****ter
Needs to go home and drink alot of beer
Has a bloody **** load of existing stuff to chuck on new drive if possible
Having a not good time
