Default Hurricane Irene

Hatches battened down here. Just got Yuen from work. Almost had to cuss out her boss. The ******* wanted to keep her restaurant open till midnight. The 2 min drive from our apartment to the restaurant was BAD. And Philadelphia is currently under a real Tornado Warning.

Of course I've been here and done that with Alicia and Andrew so I'm cool.

so how did everyone make out? Not really impressed here in ct, small branches and leaves everywhere, minor flooding in the beach areas. Biggest upset is that they closed ALL the damn Dunkin Donuts around me! I may go out in a bit to snap some Photos.

I just changed the oil, spark plugs, and chain/sprockets on my bike yesterday and today it's wind and rain city here in New York. Otherwise I don't mind it I guess.

We're good here. All my friends are checking in ok. Cept for one friend whose wife's mom lives in NC. She had some bad flooding and can't get to her house to see. She left to stay with relatives

My friend is going for the surf contest there in one week. I wonder if they will still hold it. How is it there now?

Hmm... apparently the wind blew down a street light around the corner from my apartment. I'd get a pic but the cops have the street blocked

I am in MD and I JUST got power back so I HAD to get on the forum, Trees down every where here on the "western shore" of MD, without power for 2 days is about the worst.... at least for Annapolis...
