I was 16 when I rode my 1st bike, 16 & 9 months when I got my 'L's' & when I got my own ride (1968) have had 19 bikes all up. Two stacks 2 weeks apart (prior to & after my 18th birthday), 1st one minor, 2nd one broken arm, concussion, multiple abrasions & damaged pride, totaled bike. I still occasionally dig blue metal gravel out of my arm & knees, still waiting for the stuff in my hip to surface.

Last year when I was 25. My 2004 F4i was my birthday present to myself. I'll be 26 this October.

Default riding history

At 25 I took the MSF course in Oregon on a Suzuki 125 something or other. Then I moved to Florida that same year and got my first motorcycle: a 92 Yamaha Seca II (600cc).

3 years later at 28, I bought a new 09 CBR 600 RR and love it. I still have the old bike, which now has 23K miles on it (10K mine) and is great for road trips. The CBR already has over 1K miles as of today. Overall I've been riding motorcycles consistently for the last 3.5 years. When I'm ready, I'm taking the CBR to Homestead.

Damn they let you guys loose on bigger bikes waaaayy to young lol

At 16 we can get a 50cc 29mph bike on learner plates and must not derestrict it.

At 17 we can get a 125cc bike on learner plates (about 70mph) and must not derestrict it or do your full licence and get any cc bike you want but it must be restricted to 33 bhp (about 105mph) for 2 years before you can have it at full power

At 21 you can do your full bike test without having to restrict it

So what age can you lot across the pond get a 600cc ?

Sadly, there's no age limit on any size bike. Motorcycle license = any motorcycle. Leads to a lot of 18 year olds on Busas, especially down here in the warmer states.

I was 28- only started riding this year in March. I *did* start on a 250 but I should've stayed on it a bit longer.
