very interesting topic. i don't feel so out of place
i always thought that i was one of the few big guys on small bikes. i'm about 6'0" and weigh in around 230 +/- a couple. i'm actually on the way back down. 10 months ago i weighed a monsterous 298 when i went to the doctor. after being ashamed and vowing to never reach the 300 mark, i've totally changed my lifestyle and health habits. and that was without any surgury or "miracle" pills. and 230 may sound like alot of tonage to some of you but i honestly feel better than i can ever remember.
sorry about taking the time to blow my own horn, but i'm very proud of my accomplishments and i'm looking forward to hitting my goal of getting down to 210 lbs.

No need to apologize for blowing your own horn as far as I'm concerned. You should be very proud! I know how hard it is to lose 20-30 lbs much less 70 lbs.

5 years ago I got down to 205 for a cruise I went on, and would like to get close to that again. good luck on the goal!!
