How Do U Pay For Things???
+1 on the credit on the debit card, pretty soon cash will disapeer, it will be all credits, dollar bills and checks will be gone, soon it will be little micro chips under the skin, sound familure ??? [sm=devilgrin.gif]
I use a debit card for everything. But i run it as credit to rack of points for free stuff. Kinda scary though. One time the power went out here for about 6 hours (you Californians and New Yorkers have had worse) and i had no cash. It was scary thinking that if it lasted longer i would have no means to get anything if i needed it.
Cash. If I aint got the cash, then I probably don't need it. I'm debt free! Really, I got my first credit card about 2 years ago, really never needed one, but it's a bitch to buy on-line without one, or reserve tickets or hotels ect......my balance is paid up every month. When I pay cash, I never use change, I hate it, kinda like scraping by counting out coins..I just pay with bills, then dump all my change in this big ozarka jug, and when it fills up every other month, I cash it in and buy a new toy. The only time I pay with a credit card is when I can save $$$$ example, wife wanted a new dinning set from world market...was 2,300$ but running a promo, that if you use your world market card you get 15% off. So I apply for and get a world market card, save a few c-notes, cut up the card when it gets to me and pay the balance and cancel.
one of my dumb friends pays with all the coins he can find. like u know if it was $5.39 he will go on a quest looking for the .39 cents. i always say gooddam just give them 6 dallers. or the other way around if it was $5.39 he would give them $6.61 so he gets a daller back. i think its pritty retarted. he only uses his debit card on line.
A little bit of each.
Online I use a credit card, and the odd times when I'm not carrying enough cash.
I still use checks to pay bills - I know it's old fashioned, but I'll change eventually
I use cash for gas, groceries, video rentals, dining out.
And I *never* pay finance fees. If you don't off the credit card balance each month, they bend you over. Learned that the hard way when I was in my twenties, and I'm happy to share that painful lesson with anyone who cares.
