I let the survey have it.

I told them...........

- The tail is un-proportionate to the bike.
- The muffler is hideous and makes the bike look like it's always squatting.
- All the aggressive lines are gone.
- The front nose is far too flat.
- The wheels are STILL the exact same design they've been using what seems like forever.
- They STILL use the huge hatchback-sized turn-signals. (even if they cleared the lenses)
- The color combinations are far from tasteful.
- WTF is up with the rear fender imitating the horribly hideous one from Yamaha.
- STILL no projector headlamps.
- No more "third eye" light (I kind of liked that.)
- And the bike might be lighter, but looks much heavier and sluggish.
- And honestly, if you need scaffolding to extend the license plate out that far for it to be legal, that's they're first hint the tail was far too short.

I also commented that it was a very disappointing release, and as far as being in the market for a 1000, I would look elsewhere (Yahama, Ducati or Kawasaki even..........and that's saying a LOT about how ugly I really think this thing is.)

The 2007 model they could have kept for another 4 years unchanged and it would STILL look better than any other 1000 on the market.

Hmm, I don't know. I really want to see this in person now. I congratulate them on thinking outside the box, I do grow tired of the same old same old when it comes to bikes styles. In order to find out what the consumer wants they need to experiment. And from what I've heard this bike is much lighter and has a lower center of gravity. Take the Fugly huge blinkers off the back and whack off the pretty much everything under the tail and it'd look tight. But the front end has gotta go. I like the 3rd light and sharp corners of the 07's

That bike will definately look sexy once you remove the rear fender. Talk about a short sleek tail ala the repsol motogp.

Most people would hate the muffler but I kinda like it. Wonder how she will roars??

Overall I like it!

Well I did the survey after all. It took awhile but hoepfully they listen to what us consumers say and we continue getting wicked bikes. Honda rules

Tough act to follow is right, but they shouldn't completely stray from what works well. Honda redesigned too much.
We won't know that until we read the reviews on how it performs. Remember- they redesigned the entire literbike concept with the 900RR in 1993

I agree!!!

Well, maybe not about the *********.[:'(]

What ruins the shots is the rear fender/signal/plate thingy. it's like someone just stuck an appendage onto an otherwise nice looking bike. I guess it must just be market because I really hate the look of the newer bikes with so many points and sharp lines. Looks stupid IMHO. MCs should have nice flowing curves that allow air to flow smoothly. Of course, I don't have a wind tunnel to test in, so what do I know.

I was speaking about designs aspects. I know that the bike will be an awesome performer. The front plastics have been changed too much. [:'(]

A question guys,
Are there any performance reasons that the exhaust was changed or was it just a cosmetic thing? I don't know what it is like to have an undertail exhaust as far as heat/comfort goes. I would think there has to be some benefit performance-wise because it triggers my gag reflex.

Just the 'lower center of gravity' thing vood, that's what they say, but I swear it's because undertail exhausts don't pay dividends in the design/manufacturing/maintenance arena. It's a Honda PITA...

I thought there would never be another bike like the original RR but this guy's comments at the end of the video were amazing to me...'it has attitude' woot!!!
