Default Home Theater Systems!!!

My second love in life, after riding, is home theater systems. Just curious if anyone shares the same enthusiasm as I do about it. Let me know what type of systems you have.

My current system in my apartment until I move to the house and I replace the TV with my projector. Sorry pic is from my phone.

I'm still kicking it old school with my speakers from the 90s. I have a pair of 12" KLH in the front and 8" in the back. There is a center channel right behind the TV and a 10" powered sub behind it all. Ive been wanting to upgrade to new smaller speakers, just have not had a chance, or money. The receiver is a 5.1 Dolby Digital 600W Sony, dont remember the model off hand, but its only about a year or two old since my last one went out after about 7 years. The display is a 42" 1080p Philips LCD. 360 FTW!!! Toshiba HD DVD player, AND DVD upscaler.

Any recommendation for a new 5.1 system, preferrably wireless rear speakers, if they even make that?

Nice set up you got there, actually I will be using a JBL SCS 500 speaker package on my 50in when I move the tower speaker to my theater. The JBL SCS 500 are smaller speaker that give huge sound, comes with a 150 watt 10 sub as well. Retail in store for around $600, got mine off ebay for $215 shipped brand new. I sell this for a living and that was way under my employee cost. At Best Buy (my arch enemy) they sell a kit from rocket fish for around $120 that will make your rear speakers wireless.

I live in a smallish room with no real need for a lavish Home Theater System, but that didn't stop me from trying a bit........

Television is a 40" Sony 1080p V-Series HDTV. The equipment is hidden in the closet which consists of an XBox Elite via HDMI with HD-DVD Drive. Comcast HD-DVR via HDMI. Yamaha 5550 Reciever powering two Yamaha Towers and a 10" Yamaha sub in the closet as well. I wanted a rather simple and space saving setup for the bedroom.

Now, Triax.......you have yourself the making of a great system there. The Klipsch Reference series has the best quality sound I've heard for four times the amount, and I'm a huge fan of their speakers. Can't wait to get into a bigger place so I can get myself a true Klipsch Reference Theater.

I am kind of a electronics nerd. I got a Samsung 5 series 1080p HD tv with a Samsung 5 disc DVD changer with 5 speakers. This is a descent setup. The rear speakers are wireless, it isiPod ready and XM radio ready. I also have a 1st generation xbox 360 w/o a HDMI port. rrasco found a adaptor so it is all good.
