ORIGINAL: CBRclassic

Bloody hell ...snap !!...even the xrays look like they hurt !! ??

sure did - i was about 2 seconds from passing out due to the pain, they had to carry me back to a bed 1/2 way through the process. pretty intense stuff.

Glad to hear that you're alright. It could be much worse. You'll be up and riding again in no time.

Add me to the list of broken collar bones. Luckily, I think, I wasn't concious when I broke mine. This was on a track though, so it doesn't really matter what the environment is, you always have to be cautious and on top of things. I have a plate and 6 screws now...not pretty, but tells a great story :P. Good luck on your recovery man, in a few months (~10 weeks) after surgery you should be good as new.

hey all - I'm feelin a little better now, but it still hurts pretty bad. Anyway, here are some pics of my bike which has virtually no damage - I think a few hundred dollars (or less) should get her back to mint shape. Whether or not I decide to ride her again may be another story, we'll see how I am doing mentally next season. Mom, G/F, my family, her family, and many coworkers have asked me to sell the bike after this and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't considering it. Anyway, here are the pics... and Vortex sliders are freaking awesome!...

not sure how this broke - i think i kicked it when i got launched off the bike

bent brake pedal

exhaust scraped

shaved down slider

a little rash (not too deep)

bar end + brake got a little rash too

Overall not much damage to me thanks to full gear, and not much damage to the bike thanks to the frame sliders (if you had any doubt before - look at the pictures, they made a HUGE difference)
