Here ya go fellow xboxers
at least you 3 red ringers got the extended warranty..... i had one red ring... which microsoft itself said on its website as a general system failure which occurs after loading an official xbox live update for an original xbox game... of course because its less common i didn't qualify for the extended warranty and had to pay 100 dollars out of pocket for them to "repair it" (send me a new one)..... they screwed up my address for the empty box to send it back to them... and then after i called them to fix the address after i picked up the box from some old ladies house that was nice enough to call me and say i had a package at her house... they sent my replacement xbox to the wrong address again... and while it was in transit i caught the mistake and called them to contact ups to have them fix the mistake (this was right after the ups commercials that were airing featuring their sender intercept where the sender can call and stop package delivery or route it to another place).... and they said they couldnt do anything for me...... so 3 months, 100 dollars, and a whole lot of frustration later i finally received my xbox...
i had a bad hard drive, got the box replaced, fixed problem. problem came back, narrowed it down to HDD, they replaced, issue gone. then i got the RRoD. Sent it off in their box, came back 4 days later. No more issues yet, but the last one was in July.
Me and my sons box had had the red rings of death, and got them fixed. Now his is broken again, and he wants me to give him the money to get it fixed AND let him use mine until his is fixed.
