Help with my truck brakes
i been working on my truck for about 2 weeks!!! i cant figure it out. i have two new calipers in the front 2 new cylinders in the back two new brake lines in the back brand new master cylinder (yes i bench bleed it before i put it on). i bleed them manually and with a vacuum pump. i went through about ten bottles of brake fluid. its starting to cost me a fortune. and they still do not work. the pedal goes to the floor easily both with the truck on or off. i have almost no stopping power at all. any car enthusiasts or mechanics have any ideas on what could be wrong. i thought it might be the brake booster but that just makes the pedal hard if its not working and my pedal is very very soft.
PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEEEEASE someone help
my next idea on how to fix it is to stuff a rag in the gas tank and light it lol

RE: Help with my truck brakes
IF you have no leaks then try doing a bleed from the furtherest away to the closest u will need a friend have somone pump up the brakes 4 or 5 times start with the right rear then to the left front and back to the left rear then right front this has worked for me before and
i am a mechinac but that doesnt mean it will fix your trouble just worth a shot...also if that doesnt work then have someone pump the brakes up and open the lines a lil at the base of the master cly and it may take more then once to get the air out so u make have to do it about 3 times at each wheel or at the master cly......

RE: Help with my truck brakes
Oh brother. I have an 88 and there are two things I don't mess with, brakes are the other. Drums are a pain in the ***,if you get em right, you're still wrong. I wish you the best, but you can only put so much in it before you're behind ya know? Trust me I do know. 1988 GMC K1500! More than$2500 in brakes!
