Help with Microsoft Excel Pivot Tables
I just learned how to use Pivot tables in my I.T. class and I've found a problem at work that a Pivot Table could be used to solve. Problem is, when I go to click on pivot table it is greyed out and wont let me choose it...I used it on this computer yesterday for my homework so I know it can be done...does anyone know what is wrong? Does the data have to be formatted in a certian way....the data that I'm trying to use has dates, names, id numbers, and amounts....about 5,000 lines.....
ANY help with this would be greatly appriciated!!! Thanks in advance |

not sure how much help that first reply was, but oh well.
I can't recall ever seeing PivotTable grayed out, even with no data in a worksheet. What version of excel are you using? Try creating a new worksheet with no data in it and see if the PivotTable option is still grayed out. |
